I received this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

When fairy tale obsessed Lottie Pumpkin starts at the infamous Rosewood Hall, she is not expecting to share a room with the Crown Princess of Maradova, Ellie Wolf. Due to a series of lies and coincidences, 14-year-old Lottie finds herself pretending to be the princess so that Ellie can live a more normal teenage life.
Lottie is thrust into the real world of royalty – a world filled with secrets, intrigue and betrayal. She must do everything she can to help Ellie keep her secret, but with school, the looming Maradovian ball and the mysterious new boy Jamie, she’ll soon discover that reality doesn’t always have the happily ever after you’d expect…
A thrilling world of parties, politics and bad ass princesses, this is the first book in the brand new series THE ROSEWOOD CHRONICLES.
I was really excited about this book when I heard that Connie was writing it so when I saw it was up on NetGalley I just had to request it. After weeks of not hearing anything back I thought I got declined but then I got that email saying otherwise.
When I started to read, I thought some things were going to happen. Because of this I thought I wasn’t going to enjoy Undercover Princess as much as I thought I was going to.
Thankfully what I thought was going to happen did NOT happen which made me really happy! So I ended up really enjoying this book.
The book was really fast paced but there was still good world building which hardly ever happens!
I actually really enjoyed the characters! Normally when characters are 14/15/16 years old, I never really enjoy them because I can never connect to them since i’m 19. I like that they didn’t act younger or older!
One of the best thingd about this.. NO ROMANCE AND AN AWESOME FEMALE FRIENDSHIP!!
Ok the friendship didn’t start out awesome but it became an amazing friendship and I love it!! I hate it when girls hate each other in books!! (Ok I have to admit, there is always some hate between another character but that’s different)
I am pretty sure there will be a sequel to Undercover Princess and I know for a fact I will be reading it!!
We do get a little hint about a characters sexuality but nothing is set in stone and I would love to see that develop in the sequel.
If you get a chance to pick this book up then I highly recommend that you do because it is such a fun read!!
I am hoping to get some more reveiws wrote at some point so keep an eye out for them!
